CHATEAU MCMAHAN WINE & CUISINE PAIRING
SCHEDULED FOR SEPT. 13

Hattiesburg, Miss. – Gourmet food and fine wine coupled with a silent auction will make for both an enjoyable and memorable evening. More importantly, all of the proceeds will benefit the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi (DFM) and contribute to life-saving medical supplies, research, educational programs and services for Mississippians.

A wine and cuisine pairing will be held Sept. 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Canebrake home of Dr. and Mrs. Lynn McMahan. Tickets are $75 for an individual or $135 for a couple.

The pairing will feature traditional South Mississippi cuisine prepared by local culinary experts and fine wines that complement each dish. All the while, individuals will have the opportunity to learn about the unique vintage of each bottle of wine.

Presented by Southern Eye Center, the Chateau McMahan Wine & Cuisine event will also include a silent auction. Other event sponsors include Forrest General Hospital and Hancock Bank.

The DFM is the state’s only nonprofit health organization that provides diabetes research, information, patient services and advocacy, and its mission is to provide hope through research, programs and service to the 346,500 Mississippians with diabetes. Every dollar raised by the DFM stays

in the state to support these efforts. In addition, 90 cents of every dollar raised goes towards the organization’s charitable purposes. The DFM is the one diabetes organization totally dedicated to all Mississippians– from children to seniors– who live with diabetes.
