Golf Tournaments

Most years, the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi takes a swing at diabetes with the Commissioner Tom King Charity Golf Tournament and the DFM Invitational.

“As Mississippi’s primary diabetes assistance organization, the DFM sends children to diabetes camp, empowers senior citizens to take charge of their diabetes, provides schools and daycare centers around the state with diabetes emergency kits, and sponsors educational seminars for our state’s health care providers and diabetes patients. Our golf tournaments support these efforts and directly affect the lives of so many individuals living with diabetes.”

We are able to continue our mission to improve the lives of children and adults living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Your support enables us to shepherd so many Mississippians living with diabetes through the Covid crisis. We were able to handle far more patient assistance requests amid lost jobs and dwindling health insurance. We continue to provide our We Care 2 backpacks, filled to the brim with information, testing supplies, snacks, and our cuddly canine mascot Sugar, to twice as many kids as we normally do- due to the doubled numbers of newly diagnosed kids during the pandemic. We are the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi- saving lives every day! Every dollar raised STAYS in Mississippi to support the unique programs and services of the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi.
